Yesterday we drove up to the Grand Canyon. John has never been and we thought with Teresa here it would be the perfect opportunity.
Despite waking up at the crack of dawn (I am NOT a morning person), we had an awesome day.
We drove through Sedona...
...and stopped to take a couple pictures. We wanted to reach the Canyon before dark though, so we didn't get to stay very long. John and I have been up there before and there are a lot of cool shops that I'm sure Teresa would have enjoyed. Oh well, that gives us another reason to go up there again next time!
We also drove through Flagstaff. I love Flagstaff and had I stayed in Arizona for college, I would have gone up there.
I get car sick at the drop of a hat, this picture was taken of John while we were stopped on the side of the road so I could get some air. So if the roadsides look like that, you can imagine how beautiful the rest of the city is.
And finally the Grand Canyon!
I've been there so many times due to out-of-state/country family visits, but it still blows me away every time.

Gorgeous Aly! I have the pair of pink leather moccasins that my mom & dad bought for me when we took the trip to the Grand Canyon when I was 9 months old.....I was 48 years today so you all do the math....EW!

Breathtaking. I have never been and I would love to. Your last picture just fills me with awe. I can only imagine what it must be like to see that huge expanse of color and form.
Someday, I'll make it to your part of the world and breath it all in.
John's a cutie!
Its gorgeous Alyson! I have never been - but maybe someday!
I loved seeing the picture of John (but here comes a whine) I want to see you!!!! lol
Wow - that looks so neat!
How cool! We used to live in the Southwest (when I was like, 5) so I've been to both Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon but don't remember much. I would LOVE to go back someday!
I love Flagstaff too, Aly. I would still love to live there. I've been to the Canyon 2 or 3 times and it takes my breath away.
John is a doll!
The Grand Canyon sounds like just a big hole in the ground until you see it. Great photos, of the canyon and your cute guy.
